Here is a bunch of VOE information and pictures that I have gathered. Mostly from Tom Hand.

The VOE only came on the 1970 GTO, so I would say the bracket would be like the 1970 Ram Air bracket.

I parted out in the 80's a GTO hardtop, it was triple blue and loaded to the bells with options. It was also rotton to oblivion. It was ram air 3 with auto, A/C, SafeTtrack, PW, Power seat, power locks with seatback locks, power trunk, cruise, rallye 2's, door edge, stereo, 8 track gauges, hood tach, headlamp delay, fiber optic rear lamp monitor, tilt, woodwheel etc, etc, etc.

What relates to this thread is that it had a two knobs on the ram air bracket. the one on the right was the normal looking ram air setup but on this bracket was a second smaller bracket (bolted to the ram air bracket through the two holes to the left of the ram air knob) that mimicked the shape of the lower part of the ram air bracket. It had a knob that looked like the one on the ram air but with a vacuum switch and hoses behind it. The decal above it looked like the Ram air one but had a Pontiac crest. It did not have the Exhaust mode lettering like the photos shown elsewhere in this thread.

It was clearly not a home made set up. I know this goes against the Pontiac literature but the car probably was some sort of GM employee car or something given the over 40 options and Michigan plates (I parted the car in a upstate New York scrap yard). The car had no floors and was literally cracked in two from rot so there were no signs of the VOE exhaust or even the under car hardware.

I sold all the parts I pulled from the car to a guy in Albany who was restoring (or Cloning) a Judge. Wish I had kept the brackets or at least a photo. But my memory is clear on what it looked like.

Has anyone started from nothing to add the complete VOE exhaust? I want to do it, but have nothing. No details on if the vacumn tank is avaliable, where it mounts, etc etc

I wonder where all the mositure goes in the muffler when the VOE is engaged? The muffler must rust out pretty fast. Just a thought!

I am extremely interested in seeing this, and if you have any detailed info of all the parts & installation for the `70 VOE please let me know
