After reading the posts here for a year, I have finally joined on with you all. First I want to thank everyone who contributes here. I have learned so much from you people. I have three Pontiacs. A 1970 Lemans Sport convertible that I have owned since 1987. I rescued it from the junkyard. At the same time I also picked up a 1972 GTO that was destroyed and had 230,000 miles on it. I was young and didn't have much cash so two old junkers combined made a nice 72 GTO convertible cloan. I picked the 72 model because I knew there was no 72 GTO convertibles made. I always enjoyed having what no one else did. I drove the car for 14 years then in 2002 I built a big garage and I am doing a frame off restification on it. I also have a 74 grand prix that I have owned since 1983.
I put a 1977 GP frontend and taillights on it, along with TA shaker hood scoop and a set of TA fender vents. The TA parts are not molded into the GP body, they are bolted on just as they would have appeared on a TA. I get a lot of " Is that a factory car?" It looks cool. I also have a daily driver 94 GP. Well I just wanted to let you all know a little about my cars because I know we all like cars. Again, thanks for all your help so far. |

Thanks T.Weber
I don't have too many good pictures of my 1974 GP so when it warms up, I will get it out and take a few. This GP was 9 years old when I bought it in 1983. It has had the 1977 GP frontend and tail lights, along with the TA scoop and fender vents for 24 years now. Time flies. The car is a real smooth ride and it has the original engine and transmission. I have rebuilt both though. 174,000 miles now. Also here a picture of my 1994 GP. My daily driver with 123,000 dependable miles on it now. As you can tell I like black Grand Prixs and red GTOs. |

Nice tribe and welcome! Also, you have an excellent garage. If I had that much room to lift a car, I'd get a 2 post lift.
