Can anybody out there guide me to a good Wheel/Tire fit for a red 69 GTO, I'm leaning toward getting 18" wheels but I gotta lotta torque, any advice on wheel width and rire size to match?

Less sidewall = reduced acceleration traction. Generally the taller sidewalls flex more improving the grip on launch. It has the opposite effect on cornering of course but at a certain point the stiffness is enough that the driver doesn't get early enough feedback that the tires are reaching the limit.
Maybe a 17" might be a good compromise? That's what I'm running on my Bird. Rodger your car is amazing. |
