Default JW/KR Wheels- How Late Were They Used?

Just wondering if there is any defined date when Pontiac stopped using the 15" Rally II's with the 14" centers. I'm almost positive that the newer-style wheels were in production for the 1973 model year, but when was the phase-in date of the new 15" wheels with 15" centers? Would the 1970-71 style still be correct through 1972 model year, or was 1972 actually the start of the newer (through 1981, re-released about 1987) style?

1973 was the first year for the new 15" specific centers. KRs with the 14" centers were used through the end of the '72 model year. By 1973 there were enough Pontiac vehicles being built with 15" Rally II rims to justify specific 15" rim tooling. Prior to '73, only a handful of Pontiacs used 15" Rally II rims so it was cheaper to just tool up the outer ring and use the 14" wheel center.
