I forgot the actual width, and it has an intake bolted. I want to think they are the same width as the big SCE gasket that is 2.350 tall. I'd bet they would use the same dimensions. That's why the T2 and Tomahawk needed a little extra up top to seal.
Sounds like that motor is a little too big to blow out some long branches, even those big early SD types

Tri-Y's are also gone and trying to adapt some 2" Husler headers... will probably wind up with custom made set....$$$$ At any rate I have modified a Hooker Super comp set 1&3/4 for now, from a 68 GTO.... I had to weld up my Offie intake to get the height to match up !!! No problem with the Wenzler....

Real nice, can't wait for some numbers.

PS: I hope you've got good brakes on that old car, gonna be interesting trying to stop 2 tons at 130mph!!!

Troy,
How wide are your ports. My Kre dports are the 340 cfm version and they look to be the same height as yours. I have to get a measurement of my heads width. Robert

Hey Cliff. I can't wait to see what these poor old "little" D ports do either.
Hopefuly enough to Keep on truckin'... Got to keep these Ventura's rockin' I hate to part with 8 lugs but I also have a Scarebird front disc conversion setting on the shelf. It's not the 1/4 mile tracks that get me...it's those short little 1/8 mile tracks with even shorter shut downs... Have had to change shorts all ready a few times....Quick67: I think port width is 1.50 or 1.55. I really don't know the port cc's....Just haven't bothered.. I'm with you 10second70GP..####'s please Hee-hee..thanks Mark..think 60 will be fine with 505.. Chris:..Yep the casters are "Roached".... Dave...I've made a few "small" changes to suspension and beefed drive train. Hope it will hold until I figure what I want to do.. Maybe at least you won't blow my butt away to bad at Norwalk... Steve C.- Just barely made it back from Tenn. without being assignated..

Reportably the KRE 325 cfm D-ports have about 215-220 cc intake runner volume. With that big cam it will be interesting to see where the motor makes it's peak power at. Any hints from the computer program ?
With a shorter 4.125 stroke the 482 using the Edelbrock heads at a 234 cc runner volume made its peak power at 6900 rpm with a 279 at .050/.704 lift solid roller. With the new revised combo and using the bigger High-Port heads John's motor made it's peak power at a lower 7000/7100 rpm with a 285 at .050 /.850 lift roller. (I'm trying to keep my new street 505 under 6000 rpm. Should dyno next week) Last edited by Steve C.; 03-23-2007 at 11:29 PM. |
