Hey Brad. I run a standard Offie 360 with two AFB Comp.750 carbs.
Have a brian fade on jets...I'll let you know. They will change (most likeky) for the 505. I am going to do some pulls on dyno with it. My Wenzler kept my carbs loading up at idle...due to carb angle I'm sure. Intake didn't impress me on 462, maybe 505 will be different story..I will work with that to on dyno if I have time. Estimated power is (by calculators) is 525 RWHP... I'll check my log book for jets. What rod springs are you using, what's your idle vaccum ??

On my 750 AFB's, I ran .113 primary and .116 secondary jets with either.042, .047 or .052 metering rods,depending on the weather.

thanks guys, still trying to figure out why i need so much jet, will have to check vacume reading. it has the .052 rods. just wondering if the pump gas (93 octane ) requires more jet than race gas. only thing i can come up with??

Dave:...what motor were you using that jet/rod set up on ??
Brad...I'm running a .052 rod but can't find notes on jets...seems to me it was .113 both sides..?? not sure though. I just finished up port matching my Offie with the new KRE heads.. will start out on that on dyno as I believe I will stay with it for "Nostalgia" sake... Is that what you mean about "a lot of work"..??

If the 93 octane has 10% Ethanol in it, then yes, you need a lot more jet than race gas.

I ran them on my 446 combo just before I switched to the 800 cfm Edelbrock's. I believe I went a 9.01 with them

good luck on the dyno with your new comb. i did a lot of work in the runners to make them al equal and quite a bit bigger, and also radiused the turns from the plunem to the runners and opened up the plunem also. all said and done i have about 20 hours in the intake. carbs have had the choke hosing removed and the boosters and venturies polished. heads are race ported elds that flow 318/240 cfm. cam is a solid roller 307/314 on 106 with .600 lift 468 cubes 10.4:1 compression. just a little street motor compared to your 505. hope you get some good numbers out of it.

Just a "little street motor" Brad. ?? Sounds stout to me. I have been running .116 squared in my carbs. I can't wait for the dyno run. I feel the Offie will/might hurt me but I do run in NSS....
I spent about 6 hrs. port matching & rounding all the ports as far as I could reach...hope it helps. Do I see some N2O hanging out with those carbs..?? Good luck Brad.
