Can't be too hard to find bad ones. It's the good ones that are like hens teeth.
I know of at least one cracked one in the junkyard here in town.

Bill, you'll have to keep me informed on how your project is going. I just got the nose put on my Bonnie on Saturday and I can already see where the cracks are going to come back.
I've got extra paint on the shelf for not if, but when the nose starts looking shabby. I hope your experiments go well, as it would be nice to have a permanent fix for the nose.

I don't think so either.. I have completed the plug ,, for the new composite ,, but I need the structure to mold the composite too, after I get a couple made,, I can do them on a core return / exchange type thing,, I just need a couple to get started with, the rubber is replaced with a all metal composite material [ resin with aluminum talc filler, ] it is corrosion resistant, and rust proof, and will not deterate or crack like the endura crap did, and is a complete bolt on replacement part,, not a fiberglass cover,,, I should have one done in a couple of weeks,,, after that I can probably make a couple a week,, according to how many people want them,, I don;t know right now what the cost will be,, as I don't know the exact material and labor cost,, but they will be reasonably priced,, SOME QUICKIE PICTURES,,this is the plug for the mold,, [hand carved] still needs abit of refinement and finish before its ready for the mold but you get the idea.....: Goatless,,, does your nose have a large gap where the rubber piece goes between the nose [ woops I better clarify that phrase] CAR NOSE and hood >> I made this piece so it would elimate that gap,, and be consistant with the rest of hood gaps 1/4 in""D bILL Last edited by BADRAT; 04-16-2007 at 06:53 PM. |

I would be needing one, too. Please let me know when you get to the point where you know cost/will be taking orders.
