I just bought one, numbers matching motor trans carb, but it needs restored.
Still runs needs driverside 1/4 panel, rest of car is pretty solid. |

I know of a local 1973 Trans Am 455 4 speed car that was red with tan interior from the factory but is being restored to be red with a black interior. So that makes 10.

I've got one too. What number are we at? Norwood, are you keeping track?
BTW, I took my seven-year-old to the Good-Guy's Summer Get-together today. There were over a thousand cars on display there. Not one T/A! Must have seen over a hundred first gen Camaros. I did chat with the owner of an orange GTO conv. He said his car in pictured here somewhere. Last edited by carcollector; 06-02-2007 at 10:52 PM. Reason: hungry |

Maybe that was a silly question to ask? I do know people are starting to get good money for these early birds, but of course I would never sell mine. I restored a 68 firebird about 10 years ago and still have it, so this 73 TA will be my second full restore project.

know of a buc red 455 4 spd in rough shape near me. looked at it a few years ago, owner may frequent this site, has a 70 to 72 white t/a that he had just finished restoring and was up in the air as to what to do with the 73. likely still sitting under cover. usual northeast rust. (quarters, doors, fenders, floors)

I've got a red 73 455 4-spd and a red 73 SD455. There is also a red 4-spd about thirty miles away from me. I knew of a bunch of other ones, but who knows where they are now.

Ok, so if I did my math correctly that’s 19 including wwilder9’s, so that would make it an even 20 including my Roundy port car.

I am trying to bring one back to life. It is numbers matching, red with black deluxe interior. That brings us to 21.
