I paid around $500 + shipping 2 years ago for a "stick" radiator for my GTO, and the "auto" (w/trans cooler) radiator was about $75 more. I run a B & M Supercooler on my 700R4 and wanted to keep the trans heat out of the radiator, and save the $75.

I paid $200 for a griffin from summit. Its not restoration correct, but it more than does the job, and was cheap. I got a universal style nascar or whatever they're called. For me, it was a great buy.
Virtually anything works better than the stock radiators which were designed for the arctic circle. Mine had a puny 2 core on a 400. My guess is that brass price was high in the 60's. |
