Let's get a tally on who will be judged showing or display only showing.

And who will be racing thier Can ams.

And while we're at it, when is everybody pulling in and then leaving. This is a Friday though Sunday event.

I'm on the fence at this point. Having back surgery on June 28th and don't know how long recovery will be. Had planned on arriving midweek and leaving on Sunday.

Maybe I'm reading the show schedule wrong but it looks like the "judged" show is Sunday only.

So Does that mean that you'll be staying Sunday Rick?

I'm on the fence about the judged show because of the non original mods I've done.

Racing? at this point no, but I may change my mind on that.

I'll be in Friday through Sunday.

Unless things have changed your car can be judged Saturday or Sunday. If your car has aftermarket wheels it would automatically be put in a street or modified class. Jim

So, for the special Can am section they would move a Can am out with aftermarket wheels?

How would they place me with my "not available at all" 4 speed conversion?

How about a CanAm with aftermarket wheels that is for display only, not judged?
We might have to be an army of 2 Rich.

you did what Pontiac should have! Four speeds are much more appealing. See me at the Nat's as I have some C/A goodies I'll turn you on to, if you like. We will also do what we can to accommodate, as I see no sense in splitting these cars up. They look too cool in a herd! After all...they allowed a RA IV four speed with cruise to compete in Concourse at Louisville last year! Couldn't a four speed be dealer installed? lol Ron

Display only as my CA is a 30-footer. Unless there's a survivor class. Otherwise the judges would just laugh at the rust and the paint job. That's not even mentioning the interior. However, it runs beautifully, and I intend driving it to Ohio, so

Racing? Yes. Whether it and I will do well is another issue...

Hoping to be in Thursday night, and leave Sunday night or Monday morning. Have to be back at work Thursday, bright and early at 6 AM...

If anyone else is coming by themselves, and wants to split the cost of a room, let me know.

Don't have a room to share but if you need some parts or something, now would be the time to list your needs and see if someone can bring stuff.

I'm going to bring a 10 X 20 canopy to sit under so be sure to bring chairs.

If you want to display your Can Am with the other Can Ams please ask the ticket seller for a Car Show entry. The cost is $40.00 for the weekend. When you pull up to Car Show Tech let the guys know that you want to display the car only. Then fill out your card and take it to the registration tent to get a window card.

This way you are allowed to park on the car show field and you get two passes for the Ames Performance Hospitality.

The Car show starts on Saturday and ends on Sunday with the award ceremony. We judge both days with a cut-off time on Saturday of 1:00 p.m. and Sunday of Noon. On Saturday you can still buy an entry after 1:00 but you won't be judged until Sunday.

If anyone has any questions you can email andi@pontiacnationals.com or call 419-663-7383.

I will be there, and our FAST Automotive CanAm will be on the track. We might also have a deal going with Pypes to put a prototype exhaust system on it and run it on the dyno again. Should be good fun! Our local group, dubbed POSI (Pontiacs Of Southeastern IN) will again be pitching in with the Performance Years cookout by supplying drinks and fried chicken. We should be easy to find on the pit side as we're working to secure a large black and orange tent labelled "Wood-Mizer". I'm getting really excited just thinking about it!

I just booked at the Days Inn in Milan(10 miles from track) for $297 + tax for 2 nights. Is there any cheaper hotels nearby with a pool?

will be attending. staying at Hampton Inn in Milan. rooms are going rather quickly. For those who haven't been to Norwalk this year, the improvements made to the facillity for the NHRA are awesome.

I won't be there. Recovery from back surgery is going very well, I'm just not ready for that much travelling yet (the track is 420 miles from my home).

That is too bad. I was looking forward to meeting with you again and seeing the Can Am for the first time.

Come to the Pontiacs in the Park event at VMP in May, there's a good chance I'll have it there...as well as my 79 Firebird funny car for the first time.
