I am almost ready to dyno my car. I want to try different intakes. I have rpm, tII and victor. Any differences between Victor and Warrior intakes? I might pick one up if it's worse it.

We did tons of testing on this. We took a fully race prepared Warrior (Doug Nash style) intake and made 12HP with a stock Victor with the ports matched. You simply cant beat the cross sectional area of the Victor.
Bill Eadelis just got 1.5 or more MPH with his RA-IV SS 1970 GTO. After beating Kennedy up for 10 years, and his car running the same ET year after year after year, I got him a fully race prepared Victor from Phil Monteith (who couldnt fit it under his hood), and DK gained at least 1.5 tenths and his engine responds to tuning items now it never responded to before. We have done so much testing, I have never seen a Pontiac race engine do better with a Warrior style. They are OK, but not worth it compared to a Victor in a race car. Lynn |

Just swapping a victor onto the sprint boat today (408)
We run from 5800-6200 rpm pretty much constantly so hoping will improve over the Holley SD we were using. Hopefully will kill some bottom end also to give the jet unit a chance off the mark !!! Has anyone got pics of a ported plenum on the 850 version. Is it advisable to taper into the runners from the carb transition ?.

seen a Victor, lose 2 tenths and 2 mph to a ported torker 1, seen a Bob Maxi-street dominator lose 2 tenths 2 mph to a ported warrior.

I have a heavily ported Warrior for a Dominator if you want to borrow it. All I have is the manifold, no carburetor.

Depends on combo.
Unless it's a proven system, meaning a cookie cutter engine, have to try all 4. And then there's the before/after mods and carb jetting for each one. Warriors are kinda hard to find, but easier since the Victors came out.
