Default Vid of race

110 lbs in the trunk and reworking of rear suspension had me hooking in the heat.
This was the first round of eliminations beating a Slingshot dragster.

It's a Sony DSC-100 Digital Camera. Takes great photos and good video.
Need more connection speed or RAM Brian?
I just watched it and it's not buffering well to show a smooth vid for me. Not sure why? Traffic on their site maybe?

Nice!!Where did your shock adj.end up at? I finally pulled the wheels about 10" the other night!the track was awful, it kept lifting the front end and porpoising.I put 100# in the trunk also.Best 60' was only 1.66 ,on drag radials.Im getin closer at least its transferring weight now.

When I saw that video, I had to smile. About 4-5 years ago I had to bracket race a dragster like the one you did. I am not much of a racer but I guess I hold my own with the bracket racing. My car is a mid 12 and the dragter was a 7 sec one. The pit crew comes up to me and one of the guys trys a little intimidation and I laugh it off . So we pull up to the line and his exhaust is even downing out my basic thought proccess . Man was it loud. I couldnt hear if my car was even running. So I concentrated on my tach and lights and thought I jumped to fast!! Hey no red light. So Im looking forward and was thinking I should be seeing this rocket fly past me any second. Well was I grinning when I saw him still at half track with his parachute twisting in the wind. I won and his 7 second dial was way off as he pulled a 10 second 1/4. All the people in the stands were cheering for me!! I felt bad for them especially for the guy that packed the chute. I guess it fell out at about 200 ft.

I managed a 1.524 60' 10.791 123.42 into a wind best run. But I was hooking no matter how hot the track was, 1.52 to 1.54 over 8 runs this weekend.
So the 110 lbs slowed me up about .08 over my average, but the weather was changing alot and there was alot of smoke in the air. And everyone was up to .1 slow. So far I can't tell if I really slowed on ET just 1 MPH. My race weight is now 2984 lbs. 6700 to 7200 DA this weekend.
I started with them in the loosest Compression and Rebound in the rear and the fronts in the loosest as well, then started tightening from there. I tightened one notch drivers front. I went about 10 clicks compression on the passenger rear and 8 clicks on the drivers rear. Rebound was 8 clicks on each. Slide a links with 1/2 turn tight on drivers and 1 turn on passenger.
There is a test and tune next week I am going to try and get things dialed tighter. Also work the engine so more. Lash, timing, jetting. The DA should start dropping back to below 6500' so I will start making more power. Hopefully September we will see some 5000' air.

Great job! That reminds me of one of my street legal races last year when i raced an 18.1 jetta to my 12.3, roles where reversed though. He beat me to the line but broke out.

Thanks guys. I lost 2nd round to another dragster @ the stripe by .014 on the brakes. But I had him by .05 on the tree and could have ran it out.Usually he cuts good lights so I thought I was breaking out. He ran 148 MPH. It's so hard to judge when these guys will be on you. Still learning how drive drive the top end in this class.

Why is it that everytime I draw a dragster he whoops my ass? I know, I know, it's the driver. Can't be all that electronics verses my foot could it?

Here is a video of one kicking my ass...time trials....
