bump...........still looking for a 69 bird IN STATE or close to build my TA clone....

Looking for a 69 coupe in restorable condition. (NO JUNK or PARTS CAR) must be automatic on the floor, and I prefer it to be in State. Also DO NOT want one already restored, making a TA clone so I just want a reasonably priced, SOLID car, that doesn't need every single panal on the car replaced or the frame rotting away

1969 Firebird - Trans Am - $7500 (Lehigh Valley)

Firebird-Trans Am(already has TA hood and spoiler-would be a candidate for a Trans Am Clone) has a 1972,455ci engie, headers and side pipes, MSD dual point ignition, 750 Holley double pumper carb, Accel wires, 350 turbo transmission with shift kit, PS, Drum Brakes. Has frame extensions and traction bars. Engine runs great with plenty of power and starts up with just a few pumps, runs down the road straight and was recently inspected. All 4 rally wheells were refurbished and new carpet was installed. Rust free car, solid frame rails, rockers, quarters, trunk, etc. Mileage showing on odometer is 14329. Probably 114329. Count yourself lucky you are finding what you are. Over here on the west coast, there have been about three "basket cases on C-list in the last few months, all for like $5k to $6k.

The prices seem to have jumped on them, or people just think they are going to get lucky.

Eventually I WILL find "the right car" I waited a lifetime to find the right 69 Vert to restore, and I'll find the right coupe too

NO! they either have no title, are to far away for me to go inspect them, or are rusted out junk parts cars. Had a tip on one here on PY, of one here in PA, but the guy isn't getting back to me. It's in the for sale forum.

Yes I did $3500.00 minus the Tires and wheels. picking it up Saturday. Car was originally a OHC 6 car, 4 speed. it has a 350 Chevy in it now with a turbo 400 Trans, and shift kit. Current inspection, and clean clear title. Only thing missing is the original trunk lock and tumbler parts, and the chrome drip rail around the door windows, and pillar posts. A set of rallys missing the trim rings and center caps. That's no biggie.
