Default Big Iron 1971

I was browsing through the classified section of the October 1971 edition of Hot Rod magazine and came across this advert for Big Iron, same car that SWEETMUSCLE posted about in the Body Shop Tech in 2005. Scanned the page this morning and thought I would post here. Have not heard anything about that car since then, hopefully it's being or has been restored to past racing day's glory.

The car is restored & was at Norwalk in 2006.
It's one stunning car! Here's a few pics of it.

Cool. I'd love to know what they wanted for it back in '71!

Thanks for posting show pics Steve, glad to see that the car is back and being shown. Great example of Pontiac racing history. As far as price in 71 goes, if it's any comparison, a Shelby Cobra GT500, 428 Cobra Jet, 4spd was in the same classified section and was going for $3600... firm - I'll take it!

If theres any old time racers from the Rochester NY area you may remember this car from the late 70's and 80's . It was raced at the local 1/4 mile track in that area for many years . I will try to dig up some more info on it .

John Kane restored the car and it went to a very nice collection.
