The Sundance Orange car on Ebay awhile back that was won by supercarbob had an option price of $987, Auto, Honeys and no air. Unfortunately, I don't have the date or the PHS on the car (option price was listed in ad).

Lloyd, can you add to the list the state that the cars were shipped to and the invoice price?

Looks like the option price might have dropped later in the model year, maybe due to lack of sales?

BTW, do you know whatever happened to the Monarch Yellow car that you were looking at a year or so ago?

I know, to many questions...

Mike

Lloyd,
My old WW5 GTO (9-16-71) was $1012.13.

Notice that this car was shipped directly to AC Spark Plug Division-GMC (30% & 35% discounts hand written) along with the Experimental & PO-N942025-3 options listed. I owned this car in the early 90's & no one could answer what those options were back then. Maybe that info is out there now?

Thanks, Steve.

In addition, if you don't mind, would you please e-mail me both of those invoices? I'll add all the info to my original post above.

TIA!

Hey Steve:

Neat car, and obviously an engineering or brass hat deal.

Any idea where the car is now? Also, was it an M22 or M40 deal?

Thanks!

It's an M40 car, Saddle int w/Black top. The car went to Canada & was restored there. I would guess it's still up there somewhere.

Thanks, Pat.

It's already on the list - Supercarbob's car.

So far, and overwhelming majority of WW5's are M40 equipped. Making that Adriatic Blue car on e-bay (M22 with A/C) all that more rare!

Any more WW5 invoices out there?

My WW5 is a 4-speed Sundance Orange build date 6-12-72 WW5 Option $982.00. It was found at the dealer PHS list price $4,759.60. Lloyd do you have my PHS.

The prices shown in Eric White's Illustrated Identification Guide for the WW5 option are as follows:

Coupe w/M40 $995.00
Coupe w/M22 $990.00
Hardtop w/M40 $987.00
Hardtop w/M22 $982.00

Looking at Lloyds list the Hardtop have the price listed in the guide and The M40 coupes do not. Makes me wonder about the M22 coupes. I think most of the information in Eric's book is based on initial model year option lists, sales brochures, dealer sales guides, etc. It looks like Pontiac changed the price at sometime.

Hey Joe - thanks for e-mailing your docs, and I've added your car to my post above.

Matt - I would imagine that the price differential between the coupe and hardtop WW5 option was because sport mirrors weren't used on the coupes due to vent glass interference.

Hey there Lloyd, here are the broadcast sheet and invoices from my old WW5 car,the quality is'nt perfect (scans of copies, the new owners got the originals) but the info can be made out for the most part.

Last I heard the car is in Oklahoma, and IMO needs desperately to be saved someday before it's lost forever, but I digress on that bit of info.

Mine was an M40,hardtop,shows the option price as $987.00 .

Was sold new at Taber pontiac,3264 Peachtree Rd.,Atlanta,Ga.,30305.

It was made at the Lakewood plant in Atlanta,Ga. as well.

You cant make it out on the scan, but I believe the dealer code is zone 18,dealer 764.

HTH.

Remember Lloyd, my car is the one with the December build date on the cowl tag, but the September Invoice - there may be another earlier invoice for it at PHS but this is the one I got.

Lloyd,
Did you see this one on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ponti...spagenameZWDVW

The phs on the ad is too out of focus to read but it does have a Formula wheel & dash tach.

You have room for another one?
