How about upper door panels for the '73 to '77 LeMans (and Grand Ams too) - the lowers can be gotten from OPGI even though they're really for Chevelles and El Caminos. Trim pieces for the bottom of the bucket seats would be nice. For that matter, the instrument bezel for the GA/GP/GLM/CA would be another good item since it covers a lot of brands. Same for the custom sport steering wheel. Or can we at least get interchangeability notices for existing reproduced parts that will work on the '73-'77 A-bodies?

As a thread already says, are you listening, Ames and PY? (and OPGI, NPD and all the other companies?) There is a substantial body of fans for these cars - and the same year GPs as well - that is being underserved by the reproduction companies. Every one complains about the startup costs, tooling and whatnot, but consider this...

How many unrestored '73-'77 A-bodies have gone to the crusher because there were no parts available? I'd bet that many more could be saved if there were parts to bring them back. We're screaming for interior and body parts as well as the trim pieces. I wonder how much of a market you guys could CREATE simply by serving this portion of the A-body community. It's something to consider. We'd ove to spend some money on our cars by buying parts. Too bad there's not enough to buy...

You are waisting your breath, David. PY has made it very clear in the past that they are not interested in even entertaining the thought of making anything for these cars, other than the '73 style GTO/GA exhaust tips. The other large Pontiac vendor might be open to producing some of these badly needed parts. At least they include them in their catalogs....

Probably true, Rick, but one thing IS certain...if we say nothing, that's exactly what we'll get. What really gets me is that there's probably way more of our cars out there than there is of 50s-early 60s vintage yet there's parts available for those cars and not ours. And I still think I'm right about creating a market when parts do become available. So, I'll beat the drum when I can since it'll only cost me some sore fingertips....

Not just the CAN AM, but Grand Am cars also need repro parts. Many would be the same, just some coloring differences. I personally would love to see the 1973 rear spoiler made for the Grand Am and a slightly modified rear spoiler for the Can Am style so it would look good like the original, but not so close as to alllow someone to build a fake car.

we need a rear pannel/bezel thats NOT plastic ...a diecast one !!!! and the headlight bezels that are out are beautiful...BUT they don't fit right..spaced from car's fender AND the top don't come to a PEAK..it'g ground off too much.....we would like 65 gto tailight bezels that are DIECAST...but first lets get a simple rear "diecast pannel " (the one that says PONTIAC in white painted letters....

the paint pens like "TESTORS" make...they have RED-WHITE-BLACK...we ALL need touch up PAINT PENS in ENGINE COLORS !!!! it's neater than spraying the paint in the cap and useing a small brush....and FASTER/CLEANER...maybe all different kinds of paint PENS...the first to make this simple product WINS !!!!

Yes front and rear bumpers+ bumperettes in great conditions are difficult to find.. same with grills..I guess many will need these parts soon.. I live in france and here as in the US I guess 74 76 are not overlooked as 70/73 or 77/79 are .. anyway they are great cars and quite rare here in car meetings.

***High Quality*** quarter panels for '70 - '73 'birds. Even partial panels or patches that match the originals would be fine.

Can't the companies that make repro sheetmetal understand that a $150 panel that doesn't fit worth squat is worthless whereas a $500 panel that fits perfectly and looks original would be well worth it to the people restoring these cars???

Gold Headlight bezels for the 1976 Trans Am SE 50th Anniv. cars. No there weren't many of these built but a lot of folks are repainting and redoing their standard Trans Ams to look like the SE. Gold dash inserts and steering wheels would be nice too.

About 2 years ago, I watched a NOS deluxe wheel go on Ebay for nearly $800. Used and badly cracked, they average about $350. You could probably sell reproductions for $400 to $450, no problem, if they are good.

Eventhough these steering wheels are only correct for 68, their design is so well-liked, I see them on 67's all the time, too.
