Question Importing from the US?

Hi all,

right now I am doing a frame-off resto on my 68 LeMans. Everything is disassembled, so I need to buy a lot of new things in the next weeks. I'm planning to get an engine (perhaps Butler), new transmission, rear axle and several suspension parts. As you don't get the appropriate things here in Germany, I am going to import it from the US.
Here comes the problem: besides toll and taxes the shipping costs are tremendous! Summit and others seem to ship by plane (1st class), so every single part has to be paid with hundreds or thousands of dollars. I would prefer to gather everything at one place, put it in a box and then on a ship.
Does anyone work for a carrier that does this kind of work or has any experience on shipping car parts to Europe? Every help is really appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Daniel

There is a couple of guys that do that ship parts containers to Rotterdam here in Holland. They have shipping adresses in the US where you can send it to, where they will put it in the container and ship it. This works well for the larger stuff. I am sure there are Germans doing that kindof stuff, too. Best to ask around in Germany.

Do you have any adress for me? I live five minutes from the Dutch border, so that would be a nice way to do it...
