Smile 1963 326 Lemans pics

This very original '63 326 Lemans is just around the corner from my brother's house out here in So Cal. Whenever I come by for a visit I see it parked on the street, so I finally stopped and took some pics of it.

Just thought you guys in here would like to see it, it's not often you see one of these that's still all stock and in such nice shape.

A '63 parked on the side of the road is a rare sight. The car looks rather decent. The door panel alignment looks very good but the front and rear body alignment need investigating. Also, it's missing the passenger side chrome fender marker and the trunk lock.

What is condition of the interior and did you see any rust?

I really didn't crawl under or even get up close enough to look in the windows. I pretty much just snapped the pics and went on my way, I didn't want anyone getting upset.

Next time I'm in the area I might knock on the door and ask the owner if he would mind if I took a closer look.

Pretty clean b-man!!!! Hate to say it but, I have seen many in this, or better condition, gutted tubbed & caged!!! I hope it doesnt happen to this one. Couple of things I noticed also, looks like a large drip pan under the front end & there is something wrong with the bucket seats. Drivers is much taller than passenger & looks like it is leaning to one side. Looking at the reflection in the paint, I dont see any rust in the 1/4's, fenders or rockers. A few dings, only dent I see is in the left rear corner under the bumper. has a couple of nice options, bumper guards, remote mirror, backup lights, outside trim package with full wheel covers. Very nice, I vote for this kind of car at shows rather than the concourse resto's.

You guys are very observant and certainly know every detail on these cars.

I've always loved these cars and if I had one this original I'd leave it alone and just drive it.

I'm almost afraid to talk to the owner, as I might just end up talking him into selling it to me.

My '64 Tempest would be jealous.

Go get it! It would be nice to know of another one in the neighborhood.

They have more classic (and maybe less muscular) lines than '64s but they are not as easy or cheap to do performance modifications on.

I have decided not to cut my floor either, which means the car will probably remain a cruiser.

I am starting to miss my all purpose '64!

The problem with these cars is they are not worth any money original and will bring more with a 428 or 455 and a 12 bolt rear.I had sold mine a few years ago with 21,000 orig miles 326 auto and 100% rust free car and the interior looked brand new it only sold on ebay for $3,700 dollars.

The lines of the 63 Lemans make my heart beat faster.
That car near your bro's house is one nice specimen

Drive one of your older ponchos over there next time and knock on the door and introduce yourself, who knows, it might even belong to a nice babe like the one in your avatar. THAT would be a good connection

I was wondering when the owner of this fine little Lemans would appear and post in this thread.

As a matter of fact I just happened to drive by today and saw that it was under a car cover sitting in its usual spot.
