Great looking car! YE coded block with matching vin and screens in the scoops is a plus if that is the original hood!

I'm looking for help and tips getting my stock 71 455 HO, tuned. The car was sitting for a long time, I'm having the carb rebuilt and draining all the old gas. I will do all the basics, cap, wires, plugs, that kind of thing.
What fuel should I be running and how about plugs and timing advance. Thx for any help |

I would Humbly suggest:
1. Current fuel has alcohol, which burns hotter than previous fuel, a ac44 should be the Hottest spark plug you use. 2. Run a 170 thermostat, for same reasons as above. 3. Should be able to run a 12 degree advance with a 32 max ( just a base line range here) 4.Check your vacuum advance with a mighty vac if its been sitting a long time 5. Check your brake booster check valve as well ( vacuum leaks) 6. Check all vacuum hoses 7. Grab some ZINC additive for the oil, and dont use anything with 5 weight ( example 5-20) use a 10-xx oil Good luck!!

depending on price and what you wanted to do with it, all could be fixed
wrong spoiler tip on driver side. (hate it when they put 2 different type on) no seat belts installed (not sure if even legal to drive like that) wrong radiator support later hood but looks like a solid driver car.

Plus wrong wheels, too many poorly painted interior plastic parts, already peeling.
Why is there a screw-in front spring spacer on one side only? IMHO, it has the feel of something hurriedly thrown together. |

Not sure where I saw it before, but I remember it.
Thought it was very nice. Like to see PHS for sure. If it's truly a Blue/ivory it's nicer to the value. Can't tell if it's comfort weave? Is the conversion to 4 speed a bad thing? It sits nice to me? Seems to be priced right?

It should be with the Custom Interior, as there was no Standard Ivory available in 1971....could be just the photos but it almost* looks like the vinyl is lacking the pearl top coat which is correct for 1971 Ivory Morrokide...

Looks high to me as well but those things are easy to fix. He says he's going to drive it. So the 4 sp makes it way more fun.

This is a really neat car......interesting rare option (cassette deck).....and nicely restored...
Price might be a TAD optimistic.....as most asking prices are... If it was in MY garage......it would get an EB master......and original style sub-frame mount bolts... also...does the spare look "generic"? http://www.ebay.com/itm/272412246202...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Is it the same that was for sale a few years back?
Remember discussions about the Royal Pontiac stickers and what it really was, don't see any mention of it on the description. Nice car indeed, not sure about the 89k or that starting bid. |
