HA! It's only been here a few years.

We were bored one afternoon so Rob took it for a rip up & down the driveway.

Let's get this thread back on point...

I pulled the cover back on the Black Car this weekend to look things over in the engine compartment and thought it looked pretty cool sitting there looking out.

you guys are killing me, I really need a HO. Preferably a 71 Formula, any blue or Laurentian Green.

It was painted in 1985 after the first owner sold it to a flipper. It stayed in Canada until 2011 and had severe acid rain damage when I got it. I wet sanded the whole car from 500 grit through 5000 and then buffed it out. It looks pretty respectable now. The interior has been mostly reworked at one time or another, and NJSteve rebuilt the engine and did some under hood clean up which I expanded in somewhat. I would say it has been lightly and sympathetically restored. Here's a copy of the add from Hemmings when the car was sold by the Flipper in '85 or '86. I think that's pretty cool.

Ha, Im going to London, Ontario next week for a meeting. During my travels further to Ottawa Im going to try to hooking up with Albert for a pint and a steak at the Keg.
London is a pretty big town for that area and it doesnt surprise me that it holds some nice rides.
Cheers to London!

While working on the car and replacing the heat transfer unit (aka Heater Coil) I found my other vin #s on Firewall. This is great news since the front right fender had been replaced and I always wondered what else..? Bottom line it must not have been that bad of damage since everything else is correct and seeing this was a BIG relief. Thus I thought I'd share!
Cheers, Brew

That sounded like a subtle dig.

Thanks Craig, Wish I had an extra hand at times for sure. I get Frankie to help but his attention span and strength are limited to say the least.
We still have a snow packed driveway too so Im still ahead of the game (I think ?).

I like it a lot. This car would look good with my other two imperfect second gens.
