Instg8ter, That '65 interior looks pretty sharp in that '66.
The '65 seat pattern is actually my favorite. Nice looking car from every angle.

thanks they are actually pristine Corvair seats that i picked up for 200.00, much cheaper than ratty "GTO" seats and the same bases and i also think the 65' pattern was the best interior. This was a budget build...if there is such a thing, I used what i had and what i could trade for or find cheap. And the 326 is in mothballs in the shop in lieu of a forged, roller cammed 463 soon to get new low profile dual quads.

Very nice looking Tempest Custom Instg8ter.
![]() Would you happen to have any photos of the Ram Air setup where it's attached at the front of the car? Looks great from the core support back.

Maybe it's the era that I grew up in but i always liked those stone guards for the headlights. They made the cars look racey especially with the "stacked" headlights.

is that a P/S cooler under the bumper or Trans cooler

I remember them from the old Comet FX drag cars that took air in through one headlight bucket. Auxiliary trans cooler is up front, making some brackets to tuck it up just behind the radiator.

I mounted the same kind of trans cooler in the same place. Seemed to work better over all than mounting the one in front of the condensor. Painted mine black.

I agree Goatwgn, i still have it running through the radiator and then the trans cooler ...biggest reason for trans failure is heat so i figure any help i can give it will extend the life and is cheap insurance.

Have mine running through the radiator and then that one as well. It also increases fluid capacity about 1.5 quarts.

67 Lemans Survivor Judged Jr. Gold at St. Charles POCI this year. All original and a sweetheart to drive. My 71 GTO has only been out of the garage a few times since I brought the 67 home...

When I bought my 67 it had Chevy Rallys also. Long sold but I had bought some nice spinner center caps for them and found Pontiac checkered stickers that fit perfect in them.

Finally got the time and weather together for some photo shooting.
The rallys does not fit the car as their only 6" wide (more like 5,5" my tireshop said) and the Firestone wideovals makes the car wiggle allover the road. But its fun..

Looks great and the color really comes out in the sun. Are you going to be storing it for the winter?
