68 Rag top need to Raise Rear
Springs and shocks all new but rear seems lower than front end. Also new headers bottom out a little
I didnt want to use air shocks. Are there any other rear shocks to raise rear? I found some Monroe 58574 Sensa-Trac Load Adjustable Shocks. Are they any good?

I would put air bags in the springs before I used air shocks.

|
No non-air shock will raise the suspension other than a coil-over shock, replacing the rear springs would be the best repair.

Got the same thing on my 65. Would it matter what the height was when u tighten control arm's?? I waz backed up on ramps.

The cars sat down slightly in the butt end when they were new. How bad is yours?

 frittering and wasting the hours in an off hand way.... 1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core.

It looks abnormally low, I just ordered air bags that inflate inside the rear coil springs. The odd thing is I have replaced all suspension parts

How bout some coil spring spacers? The ones that go under the spring, not the twist in type.

I used the 2.25 or 2.5" spacers they dont supply enough height

If you used 2.25" spacers and the rear wasnt higher than the front, something is very wrong with your new springs.
I am fairly certain that on the 68, there was only about 1/2" diference between the rocker to ground measurement front to rear with the rear being lower. |

Is the frame to ground measurement the same f & r , or are you just looking at the body measurments?

figure out where you want the car to sit in regards to the oem ride hieght and then call coil spring specialties and have them wind up a set of springs to suit your needs. the cost is slightly higher than stock units and i've never had a failure with their products. they'll also change rates if you want to stiffen it up a bit.
