Hello All,

I am new to this site after having purchased the following 1970 Firbird listed here:

I am sure I will have lots of questions and will try to answer any if I am able as I re-build this. This is my second 1970 Eprit, the first one lost to collission damage many years ago.

My question is this car came without keys, so thats my starting point. After looking at some websites that offer these I cannot find someone that sells a complete set to re-key the entire car.

I need the ignition, door locks, glove and trunk. Many sites offer a combination of these but not the whole set. I did see one set on ebay available through a locksmith.

Another problem I see is some sites offer sets that seem to be keyed wrong (or at least the descriptions provided make me think that). Which keys match which locks? Ignition/doors & trunk/glove? If I know for sure, then I can buy the individual sets.

My other option is to try getting a locksmith to make new keys, butthen I run the risk of finding out I have bad locks anyways.

Any direction or suggestions on this?
