Lynn--thought you would be chumping at the bit at this one. Also heres a pic of Pontiacs only WIN for SCCA TRANS AM ( 1972 at Mid Ohio ) - Milt Minter driving --HERB ADAMS was in charge--you know that old saying ( sometimes you gotta do it yourself ) . After this Herb had to get back to work at GM ( 455SD engine etc. ) .

Hey you New York natives. Does anyone from the Whiteplains area remember a 64 GTO with "Agravation" on the front fender? He was a street racer and a track racer at Dover. Pics would be a bonus for me.

Transporter--i'll ask kenny B. or his brother about the godfather car. i drop in on them ever couple of weeks. they still have their speed shop in tatamy and it's all of 2 miles down the road. good guys lot of racing and help to racers around here over the years from them.

Thanks X, Back in the day I bought a ton of stuff off of Stan and Kenny. I was raised on a farm not to far from from there. I remember there dad and used to go there when they were still in there orig. garage down the road. I haven't been back in some years. If your orig from that area. THE STRIP, still brings back alot of memories. Four lanes wide 25 blocks long. It was like a car show every fri/sat.

At least the motor is behind him.... but geeeeze! That's insane! I think today's NHRA Rule book has a thing or two about driver location... Was there any official rules back then? I was born in 68 - so it's before my time.

that's the one.just ended up with it and trying to find out all i can about how it was raced back in the day.

from what i've found out so far,it's a 1973 bird that was raced for a time then changed to a 74 because of NHRA rules.was raced with a 400 from what i've heard.

going to try to put it back as it was when it was the NHRA-IHRA record holder.who knows may show up at Norwalk in a year or two.
