I almost let Sunday slip by without making my post. I met a fellow Pontiacer who had a set of JA code 14" rally IIs that he isn't using so I tried one on the front of my car but it didn't clear the disc brakes. The caliper mounting bracket is just barely rubbing the inside of the rim. I could probably do a little grinding on the flange and make it work
My brake conversion came from a 72 Chevrolet so I may have to go with 15" wheels or keep the spacer on my 14s. Other than trying the wheel and driving the car I haven't done anything more to it. I did put the carpet back in so I can drive it for now. I will take it back out after Christmas for the last time, I hope!

Nothing going on with the car. Just waiting on Santa to surprise me at Christmas. Y'all have a good one.

Hey Y'all,
Just a quick note to say that I haven't done anything to the car as I am waiting on Santa. I wish he would hurry his fat butt up! I wasn't going to say anything about a problem I found about a month ago but, this thread is about everything that goes on with this car so here goes. I had a rattle behind the dash so I thought I would look up under to see if I could find it. I didn't but I did find something that made me run hot. The new dash wiring harness has been cut and spliced at the ignition switch! It was done in an effort to make the old universal ignition switch work. I had an original switch that I bought from Andre but the shop lost it and only found it a couple of months after I took delivery of my car. To make a long story short I decided to order a new harness and will install it when I pull the interior out. I am not very happy about this. With that being said I will have a dash harness for sale if someone doesn't mind the cuts made to it. It is for a car with console and gauges.

Wow...that sounds like the kind of thing that they ought to call you about before making the decision to cut. Amazing that they would think that a guy who has done as much of his own work as you have, would never, ever look behind the dash.

Well Santa finally made it and I like most of what I got. My haul included four new wiring harnesses, two for the console and two for the A/C. I also got some cash but plan on taking it back to the bank and see if I can swap it for a larger size!

OK, Just a short note to say that I haven't even driven the car this past week. The weather is really screwed up here. It's supposed to be 64 today with a slight chance of rain but a cold front is headed our way and the rain may become snow. Tomorrow's high will be upper 30s and Tuesday's will be low 30s!! Lows will be in the teens!! Then by next Saturday it will be back in the 70s with another chance of rain. Hopefully, this week will be our winter and we can get back to normal next week.
Y'all have a good one and keep warm.

The low here for tomorrow (Monday) night is predicted to be 8 degrees. Well, maybe it'll wipe out some of the rodents running rampant after these last few years of mild winters.

I'm just praying my power won't go out. My wood stove is out of commission due to putting some laminate flooring down.

Power went out here yesterday for about 4 hours. A transformer blew up across the street from us. Then our generator came on.
We're the only ones in our subdivision that have a generator. It's big enough to run the whole house... except the electric stove... and the garage. Hazmat was in the neighbors backyard cleaning up until dark. It looked like they were cleaning up 3 backyards. 8 trucks and 2 of them with trailers and their equipment just to carry off what they cleaned up.

You guys crack me up. We've had the winters of all winters here. Snow one day, deep frigid temps the next. Been that way since November.
Tomorrow's high is supposed to set records. A high of -10 with wind chills at -50. That on top of the 12"s of snow we got last night and today. Normal weather is supposed to be in the upper 20's |

Mark, it's the same reason I moved from up on the Canadian border in NY to Delaware. And I was farther north than Paul.... and most of the time colder too. When I was much younger Massena, NY was the coldest spot in the nation many times during the winters back in the 60s and 70s.
See how lucky you are Phil. You and Greg can actually drive your Goats in the winter.

Yea, I wish I cold. Phil's a lucky guy. My car is under a carver and has been for over a moth. Too cold out there to work on it.

I know how lucky I am to be able to drive my car most of the year. But, I have to work outside. Right now it is 29 and the wind chill is in the teens. Calling for a low near 15 in the morning and a high of 30! I can't wear warm clothes because I am in and out of a heated building all day long.
I was born and raised in western Maryland so I am familiar with cold weather. But, age and being in the deep south has changed the way it affects me. Once I get cold it takes until summer for me to feel warm again!

It's 12 here right now at a quarter of nine pm. Looking for a low of possibly 3 or 4 degrees and I think it will make it without much problem.
I know it's nothing to you guys in the NE and the MW but single digit temps are probably a once-a-decade occurrence down here in the deep south.

Paul, it's going to be a cold one for sure. Now for the latest sports news. Auburn is ahead of Florida State 21-3 with 5 minutes left in the first half. Who would have ever thought that?
Now, back to you for the extended forecast.

This just in.... It is currently -23F in Green bay, WI at 9:45 CST. Even my attached insulated garage is too cold to bother working in.
