Duane, most mirrors dont have these codes since its an item that gets replaced quit often.

SD Formula, I dont want to replace either core support its just my 4-speed car has an nos replacement and has no date code or part number per my second set of pictures like my automatic car.
I'd love to get it stamped to match my original (automatic car)and will try searching my area for a shop that might be able to help.
Thanks for advice and help,

Ok Duane, you better get another Beer!

Ok, well that aint going to happen!

After doing a look-up and talking with people all over the country there is no option for stamping a core support unless you take it apart due to backing issues. After all its sheet metal and denting the material is not an option.
Thus there you have it SDD, I guess you'll always be able to use that one (unless I find the correct core that is).
Now let me see what I remember about your car and what's wrong with it????? would you like that numerical or alphabetical?

I just checked my core support. The date code is 5-12-73 and it's a June care. Part # 489126.

that's identical to mine. always wondered about whether the stamping pertained to some part of the assembly of the car or not. guess it's a "batch date" of sorts.

That sounds right x-bird. It never occured to me that it wasn't a part number until you mentioned it.

Brew master,

I guess I hit a nerve there. Sorry for winding your clock.
You have two of the best 73 Brewster SD's I have ever seen.
The TQ 4-SP is not a 100% perfect car, (No car is) but one of the best for sure, and I know you have the trophies to prove it. That car speaks for it’s self; WOW.

As far as the A-Z & 1-100 things wrong on my car, please post your list here so
I can get advice and recommendations from all the knowledgeable people here on PY as to how to best deal with "my" car issues at hand.

That's what this Forum/ thread is about, isn’t it?

To others;

Please remember that I don't run any TQ programs here. I do drive my cars to local shows and cruse nights. So, I can rip it all night long! BREWW HAHAHHAW HAHA!

Just kidding,

SDD

SDD, there is NO perfect car period! I never intended to imply that but I hope to make my car just as original as I can. Will I do a burn out and rip it down your street (you beatcha I will) and I bet there are still my marks at the end of your driveway from last year running (Craig should have been there).

If I can help with anything on your car you know I will however I will note it privately and not post it on the web like some people! after all its the little things everyone doesn't need to know unless they can see it for them self! Like wrong intake, fender, steering wheel, exhaust, spare, oh sorry I was thinking out loud there for a moment!

You know I have found more parts for your car then my own and glad to help Sir Super Duty Dick! SSSD

Sounds like another group hug is needed.

Brew: You don't think my car is perfect? I don't see anything wrong with it as long as I don't put my glasses on. LOL

BTW: Pennsylvania Joe just bought another 73 Y code four speed car to play with. Buc Red w/ Black Deluxe guts and A/C.

Craig, I'm doing it!
Once this car has made its appearance around the show circuit its time to start enjoying it a little more. Life is short and one must enjoy it while we are still here so get off your lazy @ss and start pulling that trans bitch!

SDD, what happens @ Deer Camp stays @ Deer Camp!
Sounds like where having the Drags over at your place this summer. Better call the Barrington Hills Police Dept for that Permit or to have that 25mph speed limit changed.

I'd bring my car over the day that happens. I'll be the first one to put you on the trailer Brew! LOL

SDD: Because you don't do the TQ thing like the rest of us does that mean that you are driving all the way to Dayton? I'd like to see that! LOL

I love this talk thing. It's so affordable!
