A 75 400 crank should have flywheel register of 2-3/4" (2.76" to be exact). When I bought my new steel flywheel from Mcleod it had an insert that would allow it to fit on the smaller (2.6") register. I just needed to knock it out for it to fit the larger size register on the 73 400 crank that I had. Mcleod used to offer two different flywheels, but it was easier for them to just make one with an insert to fit both.
