Default 79redbird

I have a 1979 redbird with a factory 305 california car.It was a one owner from Jan 1980 when it was first sold to april of last year when it was sold to the dealer I bought it from. All original even am only radio,no mods what so ever.76000 miles never wrecked.paint mostly factory, could use a paint job to make it a show car.Any thoughts to what it might be worth, thinking of selling it in the spring, too many cars.

That's TOUGH ONE!
With Skybirds/Redbirds & Yellowbirds, you don't see ALOT of decent clean ones for sale. Most are deteriorated originals or terminally rusty parts cars.
They are NOT generally restoration candidates because of cost versus finished value.

Unfortunately for you and other S/E Esprit owners, the market is driven by the Performance models,(T/A & Formula) & these are the ones that the majority of buyers will want.

Ball park REALISTIC selling price would be $10-12,000.00 if it's real nice, but don't anticipate a fast sale.

They ARE interesting 'birds, for sure, but I don't feel their values have escalated as rapidly as their higher performanace brothers. Perhaps in the future? JMO
