Thinking of buying one and want to know if anyone else has one here and if they like the car. Seems to get pretty good reviews from what I have read.

I tryed the Mazda6 when I bought my Mazda3. I loved the car, not quite as sporty as the 3 but very nice, great road car with a good reputation, not as boring as the Toyota
I bought the 3 because I am cheap, ideally I would have liked a 6 wagon.Mazda as a company has been good to me, they sell me racing parts for my Miatas at cheap prices. Larry |

Thanks for the feedback Larry. When I find the right deal I'll probably be getting one. I too like the wagon, but I see hardly any of them for sale around here compared to the sedan. I'm looking for a slightly used one so it may take me a few weeks or even a few months.

We had a 6 wagon in 2006 for about 9 months. Came missing all of the rubber grommets in the trunk, so it rattled like crazy, dealer eventually fixed it though. We got rid of it because the AC would randomly stop working (sitting at a light, running down the highway, cruising in the neighborhood and the compressor cuts out, air starts blowing HOT). Mazda dealer told us it was designed that way and there was nothing we can do to make it blow cold 100% of the time. I said "screw that" and basically dumped it. My 35 year old Pontiacs and my new Hondas and Nissans always run the AC, why couldn't the Mazda engineers figure out what everyone else already knows? The car would also start and the dash lights, indicators, radio, or navigation system would not come on at all and you would have to turn the car off and restart it until they did.
Anyway, just something to consider. I'd watch out for the automatic\electrical AC controls and potential electrical problems. |

Id check this out. If its a good forum (maybe like PY) theres a good chance you'll find out what the most common problems are with that car. I really like the styling of the Mazda6 myself.

For what it's worth, I have a 2002 Protege, it's been a fantastic car. I'd buy another mazda in a heartbeat, probably that new turbo 3.
My buddy has a mid 90's 626 he got for $500, same 4-cyl as mine, that's gone 260k miles, with minimal issue. |

wife has one.
been a great car for 116k miles so far. tires, oil changes, breake replacement's all it needed. her's is v6/5 speed. fun to drive, good brakes, pretty quick, very rev-happy. a/c isn't real strong.
