Question Big car Vintage Air.................

Hi Bruce, and welcome to the Forums.

I have Vintage Air's Gen II kit on my 66 GTO, so I am familar w/ their equipment. The only Pontiac specfic part that they make is the compressor mount, leaving you locate and install individual components on you car.

It's not as hard as it sounds: once the factory heater is removed from the both sides of the firewall, locate and install the evaparator/heater/blower unit on the interior firewall level and centered. Bolt the compressor mount and compressor to the passenger side head, then locate and install the drier and condenser. Wire and plumb the hoses and you are ready to have the systen evaced and charged. I highly recommend the Gen II for it's ability to cool a big car w/ lots of glass and it's electronic controls that eliminate the problems associated w/routing and adjusting them.
