i think so...if you want to keep it for yourself, but i think if you're just looking to sell and make money everyone knows the $ is in TA's. As for myself, i bought a formula b/c the price was right and wanted something just a little different just to cruise in.

I bought it form the lady who bought it new. It's all there an it set for 10 years, I got a new battery but some gas in it primed it an it fired rite up runs great. She gave me all of the origional paper work she got with the car when she bought it new at Burks Pontiac in Bowling Green Ky. An no i'am not looking to make money of of the car but i will but it back as close to origional as i can An Keep it. It came with a 350 4bl, 350 trans, a/c, p/s, pd/b, an thats it. The Formula is all origional with no paint work it's Black on Black with the gold . Car turned 30 first week of March.

Is the price right? What all does it need? Can you do the work yourself? Are you going to have to buy everything you need to fix it? Do you have lots of spare parts now? How much time and effort do you want to put in it? What would it be worth fixed? What would be your plans for it? Show car? Driver? Street machine? Drag car? Junking it?
Back to question one. Is the price right? How bad do you want it? Not trying to let the air out of someones ballon. Trying to be realistic. |

I'd say you stole it for $500, especially if it runs and drives OK! Good find!

For $500 it's definitely worth it. Is it worth a full blown resto? I'd say no, if it were a 400 4spd, then I'd go for it.

That is a sweet deal for five hundred dollars. Nice color combo. It reminds you a little of a Macho T/A. Ertl recently made die cast models of these Formulas, so they must have a following. You can't lose on that car. Keep us posted on your progress.

That is a good price and don't worry about the T/A BS, enjoy the car. I am the original owner of a 77 Firebird and with a few modifications (I am not very handy) I did myself, it handles like a 3 gen T/A.
