I have a problem with some place in my electrical system in my car. My headlight switch in my car is working improperly. When I pull it to the first notch usually the parking lights would come on, but now they don't. When I pull the headlight switch to the second notch, usually my headlights would come on, but now the parking lights come on the the headlights don't come on at all.
Then today I discovered, when turning on my windshield wipers, they would not turn off. I had to pull the fuse to get them to stop. When I pull my windshield wiper fuse I notice my instrumental light fuse blown and so I replace the fuse and later on it was blown again. I know before the these problems started I had remove my dash and replaced my dash panel, could there be something I did wrong? I had also just go it back from an engine rebuild shop, could it be something they did? Thanks for the help in advance. Ben |

What are you driving?
Head lights, dimmer switch and the plug in to it is common problem. Dash light fuse, dash light, tail light and parking lights are usually same fuse. Wipers, something maybe wrong under the hood, stuff gets bumped during motor swaps. Might be hung on wash, should here the clicking noise with the wipers on if thats the problem. Could be switch broke inside. This is if your wiper motor has the pump built on it. You can try to unplug it under the hood. Thats some places to look. |

It sounds like you have one of the wires from the instrument panel (maybe more) shorting out. The probably happened when you removed/reinstalled the dash and have probably closed some wires in a place they shouldn't be. When removing the dash, are you certain you reattached the ground wire correctly also.
It does sound like two different problems. I think you created them on dash removal. However, it's really difficult to determine from here.
