He needs a good ass kicking.People like that never get it till some one beats the snot out of them.
We had a bully in high school, would really mess with the younger kids.He was a big boy so every one was afraid of him. One day he messed with the wrong skinny kid, planted my right foot in his balls. He fell to his knees gasping for air.Thats when i gave him a real good fist to the temple. Guess what?he never bothered any one again.

When you finished teaching this kid a lesson by beating him up or whatever, later on down the road he might just come wipe out your whole family with an AR-15 some night when they are all sleeping. Had a kid 20 years ago in our neighborhood everyone decided to torment cause he was a trouble maker to everyone, then one weekend over 15 dogs died from poisoning one weekend. Never proved it was him, but everyone knew it was.
Doorbell ditching, burning dog crap and eggs on a door are minor and even if you catch him in the act the cops aren't gonna do much to a 13 year old thats doing that(I did those things every Halloween night when I was a kid). Get that kid really pissed off and he might burn your house down with everyone in it one night. Last edited by briann; 03-28-2008 at 07:56 AM. |

Dogs CAN get you in trouble unless the little creep is INSIDE your house when the dog ripps his head off.

There is NOTHING in any statute anywhere that says parents can't discipline there kids. Nothing more than what was on the books back in the 60's, 70's, 80's or otherwise. The problem is parents and just about everyone else is dooped by the media into believing there is this massive movement by the courts to completely eliminate any and all discipline by parents. That is absolutely false. If you've ever been involved in the legal system, the first thing you'll find is that a great majority of cops are normal, everyday rational thinkers who believe in parents disciplining their kids. The problem is parents are now using the excuse that "the courts will just throw me in jail if I discipline my kids" attitude. That is a knee jerk reaction that is just false. And most judges are TOO hesitant to take any action to step in on family matters, often times leaving kids with parents who are unfit.
I don't know this mother or how she operates. Obviously there are some issues there, but it's NOT always the parents fault, either. My guess is that it is in this case though. But, considering mom's attitude, how is a drawn out court case going to improve anything?? It won't, in fact it will only serve to make matters worse and increase the tension between the two house holds. Teens are teens. They are cruel, immature, cocky and believe they can say and do no wrong. Usually the only thing that changes that is time and life experience. You can beat that kid all you want, it's probably not going to change his demeanor or his outlook on what he does. |

I have been through the court system with my X over discipline of my son. Child services is a funny thing. They think mothers can do no wrong and fathers are monsters. A counselor told me once that my son felt he was not in control of his life...DUH.. he's 14 he's not in control of his life the parents are! They said if he doesn't do what you tell him to CALL the cops. Every time the government gets involved with ANYTHING they go compleatly over the edge. If you ever had to deal with child services you would know that THEY ARE INSAINE. My lawyer found the law that said you can hit your kids as long as you don't leave brueses broken bones or draw blood. child services said they didn't care about that law they should be able to take him away from me anyway. Thankfully I got a judge that has teenagers. But it still cost me $6.000 in leagle fees.

Sleepy,
I feel for you there. The child protection system is certainly not perfect, and I would tend to agree that the criminal justice system overall is somewhat slanted against males. With that in mind however, that is also part of my point with the lawsuit issue. I don't see a need to get lawyers and everyone and their brother in on it. Getting a harassment/restraining order does not require the family to hire a lawyer. It also MIGHT NOT be warranted/or granted in this case. However, if an order were granted and the harassment continued, then the neighbor could be charged with a violation, thus moving him into the juvenile detention system where he would have to answer to someone, whether its a judge, parole officer or someone else. All of that might also be avoided by not giving the kid the attention he's looking for in the first place. Odds are if his behavior is ignored (as hard as it is), he'll move on and find something else. I'm also not saying it's a cure for the kids stupidity, but odds are time will heal that. I would guess based on my experience that a good majority of people reading this, might have done some stupid and inconsiderate things as a juvenile. I would also say that most of us also look back on things we did and shake our heads and hope that our kids don't follow in our foot steps. Anyway, good luck and I hope the issue at hand gets resolved. |

Quote:
Back to this kid: In the neighborhood that I grew up in there was a group that was about 5 years younger than me. They were mostly into drugs. They used to hang out late into the night under a street lamp up the street from my parent's house. The neighbor across the street started calling the police and harassing the kids. He would stand out and have shouting matched with them and threaten them. Well he went on vacation for a week one time and when he got home his house was destroyed. They broke into it and graffiti'd and tore up everything inside the house. He could never prove it was them that did it and he eventually had to move since the kids wouldn't let up on him. Be very careful how you handle this. You aren't always home and he can do a lot of stuff while you're away. I have no idea how to tell you to handle this situation. Since it's your daughter that's getting the harassment something has to be done. Good luck.

Well, it's been a few days since the little bastard has caused any trouble. Between me putting the fear of god in him and the police talking to him, I'm hoping this whole thing starts to die down now. A friends son also had a little talk with him too if you know what I mean. Will keep you guys posted if anything changes and thanks again for all of the ideas.
