Well as far as the fullest extent of the law...once you have the proper proof, of preferablly more then one event, and police documentation of each event as you report it to the police.
It doesn't take more then a couple of times before it becomes a whole barrel of trouble for him and his mom, and or dad. The part that really does the damage is the fact that your daughter has a handicap, which means that he can be found to be dicriminating towards a diabled person, which is worse the if it was against race, age, sexual orientation.
The kid can get in some pretty decent rouble for doing what he is doing, but with your daughter living there, he can get seriously reamed if it was approached the right way in court.

I know of a cheap easy trick. Take the doorbell "button" off. Insert a thumbtack from the back side and let the fun begin. The little ba$tard will prick his finger when he rings the bell. Just make sure you warn family/friends ahead of time to knock.

As much as I would like to condone giving the little jerk a butt kicking, careful about what you do and how far you take it. I personally would get the signs and a dummy camera to show them you mean business. The more you push it, the longer this will go on. I am sure he will tire of it and give up if he can't push the buttons.

Hi Brad. This sucks, this kid is obviously a piece of low life crap for picking on your daughter. I hope you can put an end to it.
I know you said "other than a video recording device..", but I agree with the others. Short of a witness, a camera is probably your only option. I would suggest a black and white for better night time pics and even better would be a delayed motion light tied in so that you get the SOB's face after the camera starts recording.
If a paid-for thorough ass whipping was a viable option I would kick in 50 bucks towards it.
I wish you luck.

You could try a web cam usually they have security software that is motion activated. Don't waste time with stickers and dummy cameras. At this point you want to catch the kid and report it.

If you do catch him. Press the courts into making the family move out of the neighborhood. A signed petition by all the neighbors would help after you have the evidence in hand. We have had two families moved out that way. Real thieving trash. One was force to sell thier house.

Swann electronics makes a nice unit that you can plug into a pc and monitor from the internet so you can access/watch from other than the main pc if you wish. i'd have the ex just stay away and keep quiet with these people, catch them on camera and go through the authorities for harassment and get a restraining order against them. http://www.bizrate.com/homesecurity/...__sfsk--2.html

Replace your porch light with a motion-activated flood light with a built in camera. Note: I'm not necessarily recommending X-10, but just providing this link as an example.

The cameras are the way to go. However being Italian, we all "know" somebody if we have a "problem" that needs "fixed now"

One first warning practice is at 3:00 in the morning (make sure the a'holes are in bed sleeping) you get two strong men to take a construction hammer; a very strong man can bust door completely off the hinges. Then make sure the men are gone like the wind.
They will think someones in the house - and they will be scared $'hitless.
In the meantime have anotherguy call maybe a minute after the deed is done from a phonebooth and theyve woke and realized what has happened, and then hang up as soon as they answer. You can get their phonenumber through HANES manual at a library
which lists them by street address, or do a background check. You might also be able to get the womens workphone - and call as a bill collector.
This could backfire, and is probably a little over the edge, but I know its been done and usually scares people to death.

If you end up hitting the little fugger; make sure you DONT leave a mark. (A cop told me this !)
And if the police get involved dont underestimate the power of a little disabled girl crying might have -
Chances are this isnt the first problems theyve had with this piece of trash.

well, being this kid's age not too long ago, i know how it was to be a mischevious little bastard, My friends and i never did it to just one house, but it happened a few times. If he has access to a video camera, chances are he filmed it himself. Might want to ask the mom if she could check it out for you, but she sounds like she wouldn't have that. Otherwise i know how scared i always got when i thought i might get in trouble, and i am pretty sure a motion activated flood light, with signs, and maybe a fo-camera would stop the harrasment. Although if you want to prosecute the little bastard i would get some proof. Most kids that age have a set time they need to be back home by. Most of his crap will probabbly be done around the same time of the evening, and you probabbly already know what time that is. I say just hide out in a car with some tinted windows with your camera for that time period, it's not ussually that big of a time period, ussually in the evening between dark and maybe nine, idk. Good luck, and if you decide to get his ass beat by somebody, i would deff. ask an admin or moderator to delete this thread.

i read your initial post and thought this kid needs a good beating as others have said.i wonder if he is reaching out for attention(beating etc). Could you have a talk with him and try to help him realize his attitude is having a negative effect on your daughter.I just hope he isn't to far gone in his life. To me it must be difficult to not have a father figure to help with the growing pains of life.just maybe you could help convert him in to a good kid(again maybe a good beating might straighten him out). Also get him interested in Pontiacs. Maybe this is to much to expect for him as he may be 'hurt' to deep. just my take.

The saga continues.....

On my way home from work last night, my ex calls and tells me that that this little f'er is standing out at the edge of the street harrassing my daughter by yelling her name over and over again. I reroute and go directly there and there he is standing out by the road. He quickly retreats to his yard when he sees me and I stand out by the road asking why he thinks this is so funny. His reply(as anticipated) is that he was doing nothing. I then ask to talk to his mother. She isn't home. He won't give me their unlisted number so i can call her later. I then tell him to knock it off as I don't appreciate what he's been doing and he's going to get caught and I will have him prosecuted. He just laughs and plays dumb. About 10 minutes later his mom comes barrelling down the street and stops to tell me that she's calling the law for me threatening her son. WTF. He's obviously went running to mommy after I talked to him and lied about our conversation. Long story short, the cop winds up being a car friend of mine(I've beat his Mustang having some fun in the country before) and he has a nice little talk with this kid. We'll see if anything improves. He did warn me not to even say anything to the kid in the future as another cop may have listened to him and had me thrown in jail(for what reason I'm not clear)

Also, another friend has a kid who is pretty big for his size and is gonna have a little talk with this kid today at school. Before spending any money on the video equipment, gonna see if things die down here soon.

The comment about him seeking attention may be true. His father isn't in the picture and the mom is never home. It doesn't excuse his actions, but sure doesn't help matters any either.

Dont mess around with this kid get the hidden cameras and recorder. It's always a good idea to have security for your home. this kid might set your house on fire next time. The mother thinks her kid can do no wrong and you can't change her mind about it she will not stop defending her baby. I had a kid here that thought it was funny to cut tires. talked with his parents and got my kid wouldn't do that. I got him on video and had him charged with distruction of private property. the judge ordered the parents to pay $5000 in damage the kid did 100 hours of picking up trash on the side of the road. the judge told the kid if anything happens to my cars again he will go to the bad boy farm until he is 18. NEVER had a problem again.

Im with this; have the camera to back it up. This kids obviously a little psycho, from what Im reading here it could get worse. Hes also stupid; messing with a mans daughter is dangerous. Stupid people usually screw up; have it on camera, and he might go to juvie. Mommy wont be able to save him in Juvie from getting his ass whipped.

If the kid is home alone, unsupervised you may have another way to cause the mother trouble. Dave K.

Can you set the camera inside on a window sill facing the front door and get a clear shot without any glare.instead of putting the camera outside and anyone seeing what your doing.and the 240 amp doorbell works real well for me also.Go get the little punk

I have lived (in the country) next door to Psycho Kid with useless mother and now-deceased *##&@~% father for 15 years. The "kid" is now about 27 but that doesn't stop him from regularly tossing his trash into our yard and pretending to run into me if he sees my truck driving down the road (fortunately my truck is a LOT bigger than his). Actually this is a significant improvement with what we had to deal with a dozen years ago.

Anyhow, pictures & video are the best way to go. If that is not possible then a verifiable witness is also great. Worked for me when the kid (then about 16 yrs) threatened to kill our entire family but he was stupid and said it in front of the in-laws and a contractor. That got him a trip to Juve, an orange jumpsuit and mom/dad let him cool his heels for about a week. We accomplished a no-contact order until he turned 21. A wonderful thing but not 100% perfect.

Oh yeah - - the point of my post. Unlisted phone number? Do a web search; you never know what you'll find. So many people post lots of info on the web. Keep looking & be creative. Doing general web searches using various info: mom's name, etc. you might just find where she works, her email, etc.

www.whitepages.com - use Reverse Address (or Reverse Phone number) to get info. Love it.

Further, need info on her real estate property? Check your city, township or county records - most are now available online. If you need discretion, use your library. You might find dad's name or other useful info.

The "dirty work" - do you realize that when people put their garbage to the curb it is considered "abandoned"? If you really want to know someone go through their trash. With gloves - spread out on a tarp that you will later discard. Not speaking from experience here a friend did this.

Putting all of this together - bits & pieces, etc. you can usually find out a fair amount about many people these days. Need help? I would be pleased to assist (on the computer - not the bag of trash). I am new to this board but fairly active on others. I do a lot of this on a daily basis and have gotten pretty good at it with limited resources (no access to paid sites).

When is your daughter's birthday? Get her a nice little digital camera with video ability. I have a small Sony that cost about $200. It takes great pics and video clips but is also small and light enough to carry in any pocket. I have it with me almost all the time. If she is being personally harassed then she can whip out the camera and record it for posterity. Or further you get one and carry it with you when you are there. Also mini voice operated recorder? For you, your ex or your daughter. They are fairly inexpensive.

He needs a good ass kicking.People like that never get it till some one beats the snot out of them.
We had a bully in high school, would really mess with the younger kids.He was a big boy so every one was afraid of him.
One day he messed with the wrong skinny kid, planted my right foot in his balls. He fell to his knees gasping for air.Thats when i gave him a real good fist to the temple.
Guess what?he never bothered any one again.
