Your 81 Y84 is a BEAUTIFUL CAR,but I'd take the WS6/W72/Stick/Y88 over it ANYDAY!

I guess it would real boring if we ALL liked exactly the same things.

I had a WS6/W72/Stick 78 T/A BRAND NEW & also a FULL LOAD WS6 Turbo T/A BRAND NEW way back when & STILL really prefer the 78.

The Turbo T/A's were really like a Cadillac type of sports car & the 78 sticks were more of a Muscle car that handled real good, but I gotta admit that the 80 Turbo was the one to take on a ROAD TRIP.
High speed cruising was DEFINATELY it's FORTE!
I drove the tires off that turbo car several times & traded it in on a 15th Anny in the spring of 84. I had logged over 100,000 miles in 4 years.(other than oil changes, waterpumps, spark plugs & a set of plug wires, the engine was trouble free, but when I turned it in,the turbo was on it's way out)

If you ask me, i never tried 0.402336km. Unfortunatelly the 2. owner took the turbo engine out and put a chevy 350cui off a corvette in. the engine is 450hp. at 5200rpm 570nm torq. 395hp at the rear wheels. Looking for a 455 pontiac engine to put in trans am.

Here is a picture of my 1981 Turbo Trans Am. I have owned the car since 1984. It has the original Uniroyal Tiger paws on it. Nothing has been altered on the car. It just turned 19,000 miles.

Well that did not work. It says my file is too large. The KB bytes exceed the limits. Is there something else I can do.

Really close to getting my 81 on the road, thought I'd post some pics.
Oops, having same problems as above poster, I'll post the link to Photo Bucket and see if that may work.

http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o113/dacocr250/

I went back to photobucket (you learn something new everyday, even not so smart computer people as myself) and found out I can resize to the limits PY has set, I did it, tried to post it from photobucket, and it says invalid file, I thought i had it after resizing it.

GREAT color combo!
I've seen quite a few white, red & silver ones, but NOT many in blue.
The Argent Snowflakes look WAY BETTER than the Gold Turbo's.(I assume the Turbo's are original?)

Always thought they looked REAL SHARP with the top DOWN & not so sharp with the top UP.

As I recall there were several companies that did the conversions. Who built yours?

Thumbs up 81 convertible

Thanks for complements. I'm not sure who did this one.
I think it was coach works but not sure yet. Custom coach
enginiering numbered all of there cars and they have a count
of about 250 in 79 but nobody can come up with and real
numbers for the 80 and 81's. I got this from the second owner
inturn got it from the guy who ordered it new. It has 76213
miles and is pretty spotless underneath. If you or any body can
help with some numbers let me know. Thanks again
