I've been using a $100.00 Craftsman for several years now. The biggest problem with the cheaper, smaller table is the actual rip capacity. If you use a high quality blade, you won't notice any difference. I like the thin kerf DeWalt blades.

It's not so bad - my brother and I can pick it up. (Carrying it up the steps will be fun, though.)
