3'' too big?
I think i've narrowed it down t the pypes exaaust with the street pro's or whatever they're called. But for a 350 with an 068 mildly ported #11 heads a performer and a 650 holley, would the 3'' be too big as in not enough backpressure or would it be fine? Thanks-Pat

Get the 3 inch and street pros, its what I have.

2.5" vs 3" exhaust system
Also be prepared for more cabin resonance w/ 3" exhaus; regardless of muffler choice. Personally, I like the BIG sound, but it can be annoying on a all day drive. The dividing line, performance wise, is around 475 fhp. If you plan to make less, stick w/ 2.5" pipes.

I've got 3" on my 68 GTO that has 400 to 425 hp..... I'm going back to 2.5". With 3"... their louder and take up some room... at my horse power - doesn't do anything. I say a good 2.5" system with an X or H cross over.

I have been pondering this for a while i have a 2.5 system with x pipe for my first gen firebird amnd I'mnot sure it's big enogh at around 435 hp??

the larger the diameter tubing, the better for exhaust...I run a 3.5-inch exhaust with my 350 ci.

So i guess ill just get a free flowing 2.5 w/ an X pipe. Are you serious about the 3.5 or is that a joke?
