Default stupid mistake-used coarse thread bolts in fine thread pulley/balancer holes

what a meat head mistake. i used coarse thread bolts to attached the pulley to the stock harmonic balancer...i realized this after 1000 miles and one bolt backed out and was hitting fan...bolt hole with backed out bolt is extremely stripped, not much to work with, others not in good shape. im gonna try to re-tap and see what is left of threads . should i:
a. re-tap and jb weld studs?
b. replace balancer? i have a couple, but replacing the balancer would be a pita (not much room to work with and i fear cracking or damaging cover seal upon removal or installation opening another can of worms. done it before.
c.?

on the positive side i was relieved the banging noise from the bolt hitting the fan was an exterior engine problem...

Just replace it for the peace of mind. Stock style balancers aren't that expensive and I wouldn't chance it.

Hey at least you didn't screw up the threads on the balancer bolt.

N-N-Not that I've ever seen that happen before...

Drill and tap all 4 holes for the next biggest bolt size in the fine threads and run those, drill the pulley holes for those fasteners as well.

Otherwise get a new balancer, the stockers are'nt that expensive compared to the damage a "make-do" fix can cause should it fail...
