I'm going to switch my front brakes over to disc's using scarebirds adapters and need to know what master cylinder works best with original booster. This is for a 63 Catalina.

When I did the conversion on my 63 Grand Prix I ordered this master cylinder:
http://www.mpbrakes.com/products/pro...product_id=534 It has the deep hole that mated with my stock booster and the ports are on the right side which made the plumbing a little easier. I also ordered the proportioning valve from them. Mike |

I dimpled my inner fender to get the lines in, like Mike said its a tight fit.
The correct master will depend on what power booster you have. Deep hole or shallow hole. I used the Raybestos MC36361 master cyl from NAPA and the Summit adjustable proportion valve (SUM-G3905) with the Master Power (VL3526) Metering Valve. Last edited by PITTSBURGH 64; 05-28-2008 at 08:25 AM. |

That looks like a pretty tight fit. I have the Delco-Moraine master cylinder and booster. The 67 GP master with lines on the engine side looks like it might be a better fit.
