Am I missing something. These are available in reproduction already for like 400+ bucks, part # RFI238 for our host. The competitors have them too.

The repop dashes have been in Classic Industries Firebird catalog for about 5 years now,but they have not had ANY in inventory YET,as I understand it.
It's simply "catalog filler"

I'm sure our host has it listed as a "might be available sometime item".

It's marked as an "inquire" item.

ALSO,reproduction parts, interior anyways, just DON'T seem to be up to OEM standards.

SOME are better than OTHERS,but NOS is best.

I thought $1500.00 & change on that auction was a GREAT DEAL.

A NICE yellow Firebird AND an NOS DASH????

WOW,if I lived CLOSER,I would have bid $1750.00!

Oh ok, I have played that game with the vendors before. I cheaped out and bought the dash cap for mine. It is not too bad, but definetly looks like a < $100 fix.

The caps are OK for the price.

Definately NOT for a SHOW CAR,but WAY BETTER than looking at a cracked dash.

MOST people wouldn't even notice unless you told them.

I wish someone would repop the lower door panels also for sale. Current bid is $620 for the pair and it's anyone's guess where it ends up. Given this part was used in both Camaro and Firebirds from '72-'77 there should be a large market. This is the first time I have seen NOS ones on Ebay.

I would have have paid that much for the NOS dash also. You can not compare the NOS one to the other one that sold on ebay.

I was watching that one just to see what it would go for. I guess I sold mine to cheap...LOL. I wonder why the prices are so high?

If that was a Camaro dash it would have been double that... The reason that the parts are so expensive is that the guys are restoring 100k cars and will pay STUPID money for the right parts. I saw someone had paid $1800 for 4 Early NOS 70-73 Z28 Centercaps... 450 each...
