Micro Wave open paint
Have a micro wave oven that on the inside the paint is peeling off. Wondering if it can be repainted?

They can be but why would ya. They are so cheap now days that it would allmost cost more to buy the paint then to buy a new one
|

Not sure I would trust any paint where food is involved, you could get those vapors in whatever you are cooking. If I did have to guess, the best choice would most likely be an epoxy appliance spray paint. Home Depot sell it, Rust Oleam makes it. I have used it, very tough.

You'll get vapors from the drying of paint. But, the finish itself shouldn't heat up, during cooking. Because, microwaves affect fat molecules, way before they affect others.

I've never seen a microwave oven that was painted on the inside...I thought they were all molded plastic.
