Why is that people dont look at the weight of the car? Ken posting that list doesnt show anything other than you can ran fast with RED and need much HP to do it.

If you guy's think your flying now just imagine what kind of power can be made with my newest port design. The port I developed currently can be used in the TIGER heads current valve arrangement and flows 500 + cfm. I know many of you think that the exhaust configuration should be changed to a symetrical style of which I agree, but then a Pontiac will loose it's identity. Another part of that is that the guy's currently running fast with the TIGER head or E-head would have to change to many parts to upgrade. We need to take little steps not huge ones.Unfortunetly none of us have sponsors and cannot just go lay down large amounts of money every time something new comes along. I am not sure if my newest port design will ever come about though. It seems like there is just not enough demand for such a high end head, but that's not going to stop me or anyone else from pushing forward and making it bigger and better.
This debate just got good here in the last couple of post's with everyone finally relating weight to power. Yes low 7 second passes are impressive even at 1800 lbs , but low sevens are even more impressive at 2300 lbs. NHRA prostocks are some of the fastest normally aspirated cars in the world with 500 cu. in. and weigh 2350. Us old traditional Pontiac die hards are gaining on the latest most advanced engines in NHRA history and we are doing it with basically 30 + year old technology. To me,that is way COOL. Imagine imagine, who cares? Do what you do with your car and enjoy it. If you don't, why even have it?
Posting the quickest or fastest means nothing. Posting HP numbers based on weight in a 1/4 mile run means nothing. Anyone can buy HP. I thought having fun was the main ingredient. It would be great if KRE dropped the suit and made whole for their failed product. Get over it and move on. Then the whole Pontiac community could possibly be the quickest and the fastest on their power.

Shane Molinari.......................8.01 at 168+ in a very heavy Lemans.
Jeff Kauffman ran that 7.49 back in 2000. Rex ran his numbers just last year in October. |

I respect the guys that take a street car and go 9's and 10's
When I go to the track these are the guys I go to watch no the rail guys. The rail guys do crack me up,,,, put a big engine on a skateboard and say I'M ONE OF THE BIG DOGS, cant run with me stay home ! I enjoy reading what P-dude has to say and what information he gives. I have purchase from dude and he has been A++++ to do business with. The stuff said about the MR-1 block from one person that wasn't happy with his dealing with that company, at that time I was still planning on buying a block from them until I read the recall letter, that is what changed my mind, not the stuff that was posted about the company. As far as everyone saying this company is doing stuff for the Pontiac community, there doing for there pocket books, they see a market and a chance to make money. do it as a nonprofit business then. The post pay it forward. That is helping the Pontiac community. |

ok, im new here pretty much..so what class of car is mr langers?..some weird tt5 pontiac only deal?..and n/a to boot..i am confused..i need more info..looks like most of the "fast" cars are bracket racers..so who the hell cares how fast they go
cuz if you aint running down the chevys, fords, and mopars at their own game, you aint poo..and its gonna take tigers or cv-1s to play that game..my calculations show the cv-1s to be more cost efficient..thats the way im going..10.5 tire, with all the goodies thrown in..i think your mostly stuck in pontiac only races..i could be wrong..i loved the cv head killing them in arizona..it was a small race, but it won.. |

Build the new head with RAV exhaust. Then we could keep some of our idenity.Hell you can still find header gaskets for those things once in awhile.Even though Ford helped out with the heads Pontiac made them. The RAV exhaust works.A RAV head still has the best flow of any head that has been on Whittmores bench. You would kill two birds with one stone. You could use a real header and help out with the heat around the center bolt. Its a win win and still looks like a Pontiac to people who know what all Pontiacs look like.We need some 2 1/4" primarys, some nice custom step headers.Everyone else can run them but for us its a issue.Be done with it.
REDs do kind of blow. The small block chevy ones are the worst variety. They cant even do a good burnout, people in the stands go for a hot dog when they show up. |

I think the identity waved bye bye long ago with the blue oval intake and rocker covers......

list . Below is the link to both lists and Scott Rex's latest time has not been updated yet. Those of you that are picking at who is the fastest. Drag racing is measured in time the Christmas tree goes green till you cross the finish line . Speed is another category that has no bearing on who wins the race. Throes of you that don't like diggers seem to be the ones that don't like KRE. Opinions are like a--holes everyone has one. I thought this thread was about horsepower? What does ET have to do with power? MPH and weight of vehicle show horsepower.

The farm boys in Ohio can claim whatever they like to try and sell product. That's their right.
Their reputation outweighs any claims they may or not make. Those in the know........know. For the record, My best ET to date is [email protected] weighing 2400lbs. Anyone with a sim program can plug that data into a 1600lb dragster and see how it comes up. |

ET is not a measure of HP as much as MPH is and that why Scott Rex and John Langer's cars right now have the most NA HP. Anyone can put a low HP motor in a digger and run a good time, but they are boring to watch.
I have bought many parts from KRE and have enjoyed many conversations with Jeff, but I agree with Ron H. Kauffman needs to right all the wrongs with faulty products and drop the suit. Until then I will shop elsewhere and will not recommend them to other Pontiac enthusiast. And for the Record I have easily dropped 10k with KRE. I know that is not as much as others have spent, but for my hard earned money it is alot. Robert
