Scott, I think if we put your motor in a 1600lb red, you would be knocking on the door of the quickest Pontiac (NA or boosted) 1/4 to date. BES has managed to get the most power out of a Pontiac to date. Thats not a point of debate, its simply a fact.

that diet works out to about 6.40-6.50 at 210+ mph

Not wanting to start a fight - but those numbers are very optomistic -- the faster you go - the need for power gets exponetial -- Im thinking that motor My do a 6.8 or 6.9 in a digger - just my observation.

This debate just got good here in the last couple of post's with everyone finally relating weight to power. Yes low 7 second passes are impressive even at 1800 lbs , but low sevens are even more impressive at 2300 lbs. NHRA prostocks are some of the fastest normally aspirated cars in the world with 500 cu. in. and weigh 2350. Us old traditional Pontiac die hards are gaining on the latest most advanced engines in NHRA history and we are doing it with basically 30 + year old technology. To me,that is way COOL.

Since we are talking about making power here - I take it from your coments that you have a 500 cfm port - that is based on the tiger head -- so where is it ?? whats the deal ? - and at 500 cfm - over 540 cid that is the normal max available for us -- it would seem that we would need to be near pro stock rpm to make it really "work" Inquiring minds want to know ?

FYI - I believe this is the guy that designed the Tiger head...

John, sorry but I still do not know if your motor is N/A or Sprayed. IF it is N/A thats fast. Nice combo,it works great. Scott R., I do not understand (The farm boys in Ohio) is that the Kauffman's you are referring to. FARM as in FARMING, I guess their clam is, the boys from Ohio that farm after market Pontiac parts for us dumb city boys, that makes our race cars go alot faster. That is a great complement from you Scott, to the Kauffman's,if that is who you are referring to!!! Great reputation with me AND I am in the KNOW you KNOW. Scott just to clarify, when you ran T/S in New Jersey, you ran that 7.38 on Thursday's OPEN Test n Tune but when you were qualifying for the Top Sportmans race you only ran 7:49(?) on the qualifying sheet, am I correct. Thats fast!!!
