I am with you ONEFASTLEMANS. We all want to go to Norwalk to win S/P, P, S, Q16 and Frantic 4 but the really fast cars still want to put up BIG BIG NUMBERS for the BRAGGING rights, like most of US are doing on this thread. Like I said on a previous post, most of US WALK the WALK!!!

Your son Michael @ 8:28. Nice, I gather you and your son are both racing if so that`s
very cool indeed. I for one would like to know more about you, only out of interest. I think it is neat that a son happens to like and get into what dad`s into. My son is right on the verge of getting into cars as a hobby, he`s just about finished his apprenticeship as a mechanic 3rd yr. Lucky me he does like pontiacs alot, I think in part to when he was younger he did ride around with me stomping afew Stangs { LOL }. Good luck to you.

Good for you and your son, he is way a head of Michael and me in the mechanical part of our race team. I would have liked to have kept my 96 Prix because my 19 year young daughter is itching to drive also. I will PM you my phone #. web site www.stallionmotorsportsinc.com . Thanks Maurice.

All of you go screw yourselves. I have the fastest and quickest 1965 Pontiac GTO built on November 3, 1964 at aproximately 2:31 PM.

I was talking with the owner of a nitro injected FED the other day and he is pushing for 6.40's. It's not blown and it's not a Pontiac. He has a crew and a driver and spends a lot of $$$ to go fast.

He made a statement that is so true. He said " all this going fast stuff is, is an ego trip"

Bracket racing is one thing. Q16 is another

Jagtec said something about dragsters being boring and emptying the stands. I think dragsters are cool. I just don't like the throttle stop cars or dragsters. Now that's boring.

All of you door car cry babies,,,,, wah, wah, wah. Yeah I could go fast to if I were in an 1800lb rail. So you chose a heavy a$$ pig, like my 3,250lbs of GTO.

If Jeff Kauffman and JohnTA can lay a claim to a low number cause they drive rails, more power to them.

Who wants a beer ? raise your hand.

i might be way off beat or late hear,(just skiming throgh the posts), but there is nothing in C. neK's post that relates to horespower to cubic inches in anyway shape or form. is there? maybee he needs some new glasses so he can see what this thread is about. hell maybee if he had different glasses he would have a whole different perspective on the whole rek deal,i doubt it!

RED's are boring. FED's (like Paul Spott's car) are fun. Throttle stop racing sucks.

That's all fine and good...but you can't lay claim to the most HP when a heavier door car runs 6 MPH faster than you or the fastest customer car with your heads on it. That is what this thread was about, HP...not weight.

If the price of gas keeps going up, it won't be long before it costs as much to get to Norwalk from the east coast as it did to get there from the west coast a few years ago.

Hey! It's Friday! Screw you guys...I'm going to VMP!

OK -- The gauntlet is down -- I have to repectfully disagree - Throttle stop racing - at least in the short wheel base cars is exciting - wheels up launches - and tight racing on the top end -- Its all those look alike - long pointy things that get the poeple out of the seats and go to the beer garden - For those of you that thing t/stop racing is so boreing -- or easy -- give it a try. All the "other" class's are full of racers that were not competitive in one of the pro tree/super class's, and thought something else would be "easier" -- its a fact. All kidding aside - I think all - (well most) class's have a place at the track - It just piss's me off to have anyone takeing shots at what is some very popular class's -- divided we fall - united we stand. And btw - never did hear an answer to my Port/ cylinder head question????

I'll be at Norwalk with George and Stallion on the KRE side of the field. Not saying I'll be the fastest by any means, and not my goal. Just there to have fun and go fast a 1/4 mile at a time. Maybe George and I can get a run together to show you all how 2 heavy cars run with Kauffman parts.

Cgeise, I mean no disrespect to you or anyone else that enjoys throttle stop racing. I know it is an extremely competitive type of racing. It's just not for me. I find it boring.

Way of base from original thread ? Nah, not us. Usually you get your answer in the first few posts. The other 10 pages are just jaw jacking about whatever the guys want to talk about. Right ?

There is no Kauffman Side, Dil, The Kauffman's are on the Pit side, the Butlers are on the Pit side, The Racers naturally are on the Pit side. Vendors like our Host are on the Car Show/ Parts/ Swap Meet side. I think you will like the Norwalk Track's "new look" as the pits are completely paved. Bring some kind of a Awning/Canopy deal to sit under as the black asphalt will be hot in the sunny part of the day.

Hope to meet you there.

Tom V.
