Hi Tom,
My remark about the Kauffman side was just meant for the divided guys here. We went to Norwalk last year for the first time. Loved it. 600 Pontiacs racing. Butler, Kauffman, All Pontiac, I love'em all.

Who wants a beer ? raise your hand.
Dil, I do not drink but I will raise my hand with you, hopefully at Norwalk. I chose a 2,100lb car. Maurice.

You are correct about the excuses. Their bragging rights are only on these threads. If some guy would spend 100th of the time on his F***Y car as he did posting he would be racing, with/against John Force!!! PS I think I could round up a gas FUND and pay the difference in the price of the fuel just to see that car race. Lets say 600 miles X .25 = $150.00. Anyone want to start the FUND raising?

I am with you on the throttle stop racing. I love S/G, S/R but Michael wants to run T/S. I tell people that say the same things to me about S/G, win a S/G race after 7 or 8 rounds and I will say YOU are a REALLY GOOD driver. Good for you cgeise, thats some tough racing. Are you coming to Norwalk. Thanks Maurice.

I just like watching Pontiac's race, the quicker the better.
IMHO, I don't care who's parts they run, and the more work that's done by the owner the better. I'd rather watch a guy run 9.50 in a car that he built the motor, and did most of the chassis work in, than a 7.50 car that was store bought.

But that's just me.

Default Kauffman's side.

Bring some kind of a Awning/Canopy deal to sit under as the black asphalt will be hot in the sunny part of the day.

Hope to meet you there.

Come on Tom, you know I will be on the Kauffman's SIDE. Lets see right side, left side, maybe both sides. Hope to see you there Tom.

David, I have a TON of respect for Mike Voycey (Potent Pontiac) He did do the car pretty much all himself and it flies. I am not that mechanically inclined so the would have to buy it. Different strokes for different folks. We all still want to go faster and faster.

I agree with you on both counts. Mike is a SUPER guy, and if you do what you can on the car you're good with me.

Like you, I'm smart enough to know when it's better to pay someone to do something rather than me mess it up.

You're welcome to post anytime.

If your girlfriend is like my wife, she'll be a lot of fun when she gets home.

I hope because you have a wrench, Pontiac part or steering wheel in your hand instead of a mouse

Keyborad racing is getting old.
I wish my heads would get here. I'll actually be building my car rather than talking - you guys won't see me online until it makes some passes!

Thanks for the support - We Have thought about going out to one of the big Pontiac races out East - but they conflict with some of our Divisional/ points races - and as has been said here - driving a jillion miles at 6 mpg gets to be a little cost ineffective. As far as the racing is concerened we are going to also be running or new top sportsman car very soon - hopefully some testing in the next few weeks and tha divisional at end of month. Its going to be interesting - running two cars -

He made a statement that is so true. He said " all this going fast stuff is, is an ego trip"

If it wasn't I'd just stay home and watch it on ESPN. bwahahahahahahaha

But then again I have only a SMALL ego to feed. LOL.

I don't have the budget to race with or against John Force. I think it's safe to say that no other member of this board has the budget either. My car will be completed on my time, not yours, or anyone elses. The intent purpose of building the car is not to set the Pontiac performance world on fire, but rather to entertain those interested in the nostalgia side of the hobby with performances akin to what it was like "back in the day".
