Default production numbers 1964 tempest?

its probably been asked before but i can't find it on here,i googled "pontiac tempest 1964 but all they seem to talk about is how this was the basis for the gto.anybody know the numbers for the TEMPEST,not the gto,especially interested in the numbers for the 2 door post models,v8 3 speed column,v8 4speed.i have the opportunity to buy a 64 tempest 2 door post 326v8 straight body minor rust in trunk floor only,glass all good,interior is in reasonable condition for 44yrs old.Any guesstimates $$$ on a fair price to pay?thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think there are any production numbers or stats on the Tempest that are that specific. The main focus for our year will be on the GTO.

I have a book that has production numbers broken down by models/body styles......not sure if it breaks down engine/trans combinations...........I'm currently away on business but give me a few days and I'll look it up for you

The book I have shows the following numbers for '64 2-dr coup with V-8:
Tempest - 4,596
Tempest Custom - 13,235
Tempest Lemans - 20,181

That's interesting. My Tempest had a lower production run than my GTO.

If you're talking 1964 Tempest and Tempest Custom only, ALL were post cars, except for convertibles of course that were only offered on the Tempest Custom.

The 1964 Lemans line was offered in both Sports Coupe (post) and Hardtop Coupe (no post) body styles, as well as convertible.

Redfed..................the numbers I quoted are for 2-dr with post. Only the Lemans was offered as a hardtop as well as post like b-man stated.

production nos. do not establish prices. Demand and market does. look at auctions for highs, ebay and craigslist, hemmings, NADA, hagerty, etc. for values.

Kind of hard to look for a value on mine since you rarely seen a tempest custom convert for sale and mine has only 41k original miles. and only 1 rust spot behind driver side rear wheel.
