Hi, I am new to the forum & am hooked! What a great wealth of knowledge you guys are!
Does anyone have a good template for mounting the aftermarket hood tach to my 72' LeMans ram air hood? The template it came with seems wrong ( it is not to scale, it is a 8-1/2" x 11'' sheet of paper! ) & I sure do not want to ruin a good hood! My template says drill a 4-1/4" hole ( I believe it should be 3-3/4"? ), on center, approx. 16" from rear edge of hood & approx. 10" from left side. I want to make the install look professional, not a hack job! Thanks! Also, has anyone seen my 70" Judge HT, Granada Gold, Vinyl top, Saddle Interior, RAIII, M40 car? I sold it to a guy in Iowa back in 1995. He claimed to be a collector/restorer of Judges. It was a great driver, all #'s matched, 72k orig. mi car, v. rgh body. It was a great "you will never believe it find!" I will elaborate later, Though I bought it from a kid who had it 10 years & told me it was NOT a real judge. You should have seen me jump for joy when I received the PHS in the mail!!! I hope the car is in good hands!!

First - welcome aboard!
I can't help you with the hood tach mounting, but I'm certain that others will chime in to help. You might want to make a post in the '69-'71 Judge section as well. Lance Kramer comes to mind as a well-known Pontiac collector in Iowa. Was it Lance who bought your Judge?

I installed a hood tach in my '71 GTO conv. using a template from Randy, the guy who makes repop hood tachs. I could take some pics and check my template dimensions if you need additional info.

My 71 came from the factory with a hood tach on it. I'll be sorting through some of it's parts next week and can make a template for you - as the tach is not currently on the hood.
Shoot me your address, I'll pop it in the mail to you. Welcome to the board.

Yes, both the hood and the tach location are different.
