Electric cutouts in a 1st gen F-body
I'm having trouble fitting these under my '67 convertible Firebird. Just not enough ground clearance in most places. Looks like I may have to just accept the Warlocks and mount them there. Anybody have these on their 67-69 Firebirds? Where did you put them? Thanks.

Pypes just made a Y pipe with the dump flange designed for low clearance cars like the Firebird. It inserts in between the headers and the X-pipe best. The dumps face straight back just behind the crossmember.

I made some short cutouts and mounted the 3" Race Ready electric cutouts on the mid-pipes pointing down. Sounds great and seems to divert nearly all of the flow out properly. I can't feel any leaks with my hands when they're closed. I have about 4.25" of ground clearance, a little less when open. That's about .25" more clearance than my deep aluminum trans pan. We'll see if I have any issues with ground clearance this week. Also swapped the Warlocks out for some Super Turbos, much quieter now. Unless I want it loud.
