Default Fuel line routing

I am having trouble figuring out where the fuel line routes.
I had the subframe off my 78 T/A with the fuel lines hanging off the body.I guess the drivers side line (feed line) got a little bent.It has a rubber line connecting the hardline from the underbody to the pre-bent subframe hardline. When I route the line how I think it's suppose to go it is only a fraction of an inch from the header. Is this right?
Does anyone have a diagram of where this line is suppose to go?

When I put headers on my 79, they were all over the fuel line and caused all kinds of vapor lock problems. From the firewall hard line, I ran a new line outside and over the frame to get away from the headers.

Next one is going to run through the sub frame and bring it out close to the steering sector.

On the 78 T/A i did the main fuel line runs around the frame rail, if you look at the picture and see it above the tie rod you will see it exiting. Also the return line i re-routed under the lower part of the engine mount that is bolted to the frame due to the headers sitting on it.
Or you can eliminate the return line and get a pump without the return.
