I tried a forum search, but didn't really find an answer. Is it necessary to remove the motor mounts when installing factory exhaust manifolds while motor is in vehicle? Thanks

You'll certainly need to remove the main bolt and jack the engine up. Not a big deal.
You can likely get the manifold on without removing the mount entirely from the block.
